Ben Neumann

Despite being blind since he’s been 6 years old, Ben is a passionate and very skilled surfer and also one of the most inspiring Curfboard team riders. After his first river wave experience at the age of 13, he was hooked and has since been surfing several river and ocean waves. In December 2021 he competed at the ISA World Para Surfing Championships in California and came home with a bronze medal in his first ever competition. Ben is equally motivated and talented in surfskating and uses his Curfboard WAVE to train surf manoeuvres. You’re a true inspiration to all of us Ben!

WAVE SE – Being blind, my skate and surf style has to be less aggressive. In order for me to get the pavement / wave feedback that I need, I have to ride smooth rather than wild. After having tried several surfskate brands, I found the CURFBOARD WAVE is my perfect match. Its revolutionary truck design blew my mind on my first ride. It´s very sensitive throughout the whole turn, there’s no risk of a wheelbite and it provides such a stable ride. The WAVE SE helps me to push my surfing to the next level, because it resembles surfing so realistically and it’s so much fun!
