Victoria grew up in Vancouver, Canada, snowboarding, skateboarding, and surfing. After a snowboarding accident at 18 left her partially paralyzed, she wasn’t sure she’d surf again. Years later, she returned to snow, skate and surfing and became North America’s first clinical physiotherapist who also uses a wheelchair.
Now based on Oahu’s North Shore, Victoria is a leader in women’s para surfing, holding 6 ISA World Titles, 2 Adaptive ASP Titles, and a world record. But for Victoria, helping other people with disabilities experience surfing and feel free in the water holds as just as much meaning as winning a contest.
Victoria’s first impression of Curfboard was how effortlessly it flowed, she could finally simulate surfing on a surfskate. It quickly became a preferred training tool to sharpen her skills.
