CURFBOARD EVOLUTION

HAVE FUN,
SHARE YOUR PROGRESS,
WIN GREAT PRIZES!

THE
COMPETITION

What if you could win awards for being one of the CurfRiders who progressed the most in 2023, no matter at which level you start?

Just get on your board and progress as far as you can! Show us what you’re able to!

The Curfboard Evolution Competition is based on having fun and encouraging your own individual progress in surfskating.

No matter at which level you start, you can participate just by skating and showing your progress.

Whether on roads, parking lots, skateparks or bowls, we want you to have fun with your friends by sharing your way of surfskating and how much better you are getting over time. So, take your surfskating to the next level and show us how you constantly improve.

You can participate from April 1st until October 31st by sending us your videos. We will be part of your journey by replying with feedback and even organizing live calls with surfskate experts to discuss surfskating moves, style and progress.

There will be 3 categories – Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced – and your first video will determine in which category you’re competing in. This way you’re only competing against fellow surfskaters of the same level, so that everyone really gets a chance to win!

JUDGING
CRITERIA

Judging a surfskate competition can be a subjective process, but we will do our best to make it as fair and accurate as possible. We will be giving you points (0-10) according to the following criteria between the first and last video.

Technique – We’ll be evaluating your technical skill required to execute turns, maintain speed, and transition between maneuvers. This includes your ability to perform both advanced or complex maneuvers and basic maneuvers with precision and control. So make sure you bring your A-game!

Style – The aesthetical side of your ride, your flow, your stance, your approach to the run and how you’re incorporating your personal own style to your performance.

Commitment – Show us how hard you’re trying, how you’re getting your results; What kind of efforts are you applying? Show us how many fails it took you to get it right!

Speed – We want to see how quickly you can accelerate, and how well you can maintain you speed throughout the run.

Power – Show us how you can generate momentum and force during maneuvers;

Difficulty – We want to see you challenge yourself, to step into the next level. If you manage to do new and harder maneuvers;

Confidence – Show us you’re a go getter, that you are confident in your performance and that you can handle the pressure. We want to see how you recover from mistakes or unexpected situations.

Note: We want you to challenge yourself according to your own level. Doing tricks and maneuvers that are far beyond your level could result in injury. We advise you to work on your progress step by step and with responsibility.

GOOD LUCK!
